Favor: The Lord Golu is the god of that temple. People follow a tradition that if their wish gets fulfilled they can hang little bells around the temple. Thus the temple is seen with lot of bells. The temple can be reached by walking through a beautiful pine forest or by the cart too
Bright End Corner:
Locale: Bright End Corner is located at a distance of about 2 km from Almora
Favor: The notorious thing in this spot is the dawn and dusk of sun seen through the Himalayan peaks. Vivekananda Memorial is situated near to this place along with a small library named Vivekananda Library having lot of literature books. Vivekananda stayed a while in this place while on his way to Himalayas, for this reason this place is called as Vivekananda Memorial
Katarmal:
Locale: Katarmal is located at a distance of about 7 km from Almora
Favor: Katarmal is the second familiar sun temple after the sun temple in Konark, Orissa. This temple is of about 800 years old. The attraction with the temple is its intricate sculptures. As for its age this temple needs restoration

Favor: State Museum has its week end holiday on Monday and other Government holidays. Its daily working hours is from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit Almora is from April – June and from September – November. It is quite nice to visit Almora other than rainy seasons. The winter season festival Dussehra is very famous here
